The eagle-eyed wonks at The American Prospect did something worthy of positive excitment: They hired Joe Conason as the magazine’s Investigative Editor, a new position, to "oversee the Prospect’s new emphasis on investigative reporting." Conason, whose official first day is January 24th, will be responsible for making assignments, editing and writing.
I'm familiar with Conason's work by way of Salon. He's one of the Last Journalists Standing. Go get 'em, Joe. And stay off those small airplanes.
