If the man crackers of South Dakota thought they could subjugate their sinful women without a fight, they are - with any luck - approaching Aneurysm Territory today after hearing about this story appearing in Sunfell's diary at DKos.

Cecilia Fire Thunder, Oglala Sioux president of the Oglala Sioux Tribe at Pine Ridge, reportedly told Native American Times (subscription only) she was "incensed...that a body made up of mostly white males would make such a stupid law against women."

"To me, it is now a question of sovereignty," she said to [Tim] last week. "I will personally establish a Planned Parenthood clinic on my own land which is within the boundaries of the Pine Ridge Reservation where the State of South Dakota has absolutely no jurisdiction."

That, my friends, is resistance.
