Blood Money & Homeland Security
Jill, of Brilliant at Breakfast, blogs a great story today:
Michael Chertoff: Security Risk: Leave it to the tiny University Star to give us the news that Bush's nomination for Homeland Security Chief, like predecessor nominee Bernard Kerik, has a skeleton in the closet. "Federal Appeals Court Judge Michael Chertoff’s ties to the financiers of the Sept. 11 attacks may prevent his confirmation as Homeland Security Chief. "
The mighty Democratic overlords in the Senate wouldn't dare let this get in the way of denying a new playmate for King George, would they?
Garnish, serve.
Chertoff shouldn't be too badly bruised by this revelation. After all, having ties to the financiers of 911 certainly never hurt Bush.
