Proud Texas Liberal

Much of the world - or, for that matter, many in America - understandably harbor the false impression Texas is devoid of thinking people who care deeply about America and the world beyond our shores. I'm happy to report they're wrong, and it's important to spread the word there is, indeed, such a creature as the often overlooked Texan of Conscience.

We live in urban and rural areas.

We are rich and poor.

We are white and people of color.

We are college educated and high school dropouts.

We are fighters and peacemakers.

We are lovers of humanity.

We are Proud Texas Liberals.

And we're doing everything in our power to mitigate the damage spawned by the sick regime infecting the world with the dreadful germs of neoconservatism.

To my fellow Texas bloggers of the liberal persuasion, I would encourage you to copy my Proud Texas Liberal graphic and upload it to your image site for inclusion on your blog. Who or what you link to, if anything, is your business, although you are welcome to link to this particular post if you so desire.

Let us state to the rest of the world - and each other - WE EXIST.
