I've seen a fair share of silliness this weekend in Left and Right Blogistan... exaggeration of the 'real' number of US casualties in Iraq on the left, e.g., and talk of the DSM being fakes on the right (despite authentication by the Brits who were in a position to know). But one of the least likely of possibililities to come out of this is impeachment. There's been some thought on why this is unlikely based on imprachment-fatigue, but until there's either a Democratic House or a video of Bush planning the Iraq invasion pre-9/11 while having sex with the proverbial live boy or dead girl, impeachment is going nowhere.

I'm not exactly sure why some blog posts get my goat and others don't, but it may be the smarm factor. Although responding may seem like a colossal waste of time, something good did come from it: my inspired coinage of the term Biden-esque circle jerk.
